What is the importance of glass in the vending sector?
Glass is indispensable in the vending sector. It helps us benefit from the benefits that vending offers us today.
The most important function of the glass is its usefulness, the fact that it allows us to easily obtain the desired drinks and serve them in hygienic conditions, at any time of the day. Like packaging, it guarantees the temporary protection of the product and the maintenance of its quality and integrity. Furthermore, with the help of the glass we can safely transport the desired drink to the place where it will be consumed.
Another function of the glass is promotional and informative. The glass creates the consumer’s first impression upon contact with the product ordered at the coffee machine. When personalized, it can inform the consumer about the coffee used by a particular machine. It must spontaneously attract the buyer’s attention, be easily recognizable and suggest a precise idea about the product offered by the coffee machine.
For the vending operator, glass guarantees the optimal functionality of the machine and continuity in the offer of products to the end customer. To avoid creating problems for vending machines, plastic cups must be antistatic and their mass must not be less than 3.3 g. Since these are hot drinks, the glass must be thick enough so as not to create discomfort during service.
It is important to mention the new vending trend, the use of cardboard cups in coffee machines. The cardboard cup is made with biodegradable and recyclable materials, making it superior to plastic cups. It is good to know that the cardboard cup affects the quality. A coffee served in a cardboard cup tastes better than the same coffee served in a plastic cup and the properties of the coffee are preserved for longer.
Experience has shown us that, under the same price conditions, the replacement of plastic cups with cardboard ones has led to an increase in sales of that vending machine. The only problem, however, is the higher price of cardboard cups. However, their use can be a reason to increase the price of drinks, as the consumer is willing to pay more for better quality coffee served in a cardboard cup. Cardboard cups can be customized more easily and their design is far superior to plastic cups, which are common in coffee machines. Cardboard cups allow the use of lids, which makes transporting these liquids from one place to another much easier.
What are the advantages of using a quality glass in the vending sector?
A quality glass guarantees the optimal functioning of the coffee machine. Failure to use quality glasses leads to an increase in maintenance costs and a decrease in revenue caused by machine malfunction. Quality glass attracts more satisfied consumers and implicitly leads to an increase in the operator’s profitability. The glass creates the first impression in the sales process, and this must be favorable. A quality glass positively influences the taste of the coffee or hot drink.
What type of glasses do you recommend using in our vending sector?
As for plastic cups, we recommend using two-tone cups due to their appearance. They must be automatic, treated with antistatic, have a weight of at least 3 g and an adequate thickness for this type of drinks. We also recommend the use of personalized glasses with the operator’s logo or the type of coffee used to facilitate the differentiation of products offered by multiple operators.
If the selling price of the product allows it, we strongly recommend the use of cardboard cups for the specified advantages.
